How to delete your Pulsee account & data
You can delete your Pulsee account and all associated data at any time using one of the methods below.
Option 1 — In-app (fastest, instant)
- Open the Pulsee app on your phone
- Go to the Profile / Settings tab
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete my account"
- Confirm the action
Your profile, saved bookmarks, and all linked data are removed immediately and permanently.
Option 2 — By email (if you no longer have the app installed)
- Send an email from your registered email or phone number to support@pulsee.in
- Subject: "Delete my Pulsee account"
- In the body, include your name and mobile number used in the app (so we can locate your record)
We will delete your account within 7 business days and confirm via email.
What data is deleted
- Your profile (name, mobile number, preferences)
- All saved/bookmarked news articles tied to your device
- Reading history and view counts attributed to your device ID
- Any analytics events linked to your account
What data is retained & why
- None for personally identifiable data. All your personal records are permanently erased.
- Aggregate & anonymised statistics (e.g., total daily reads across the app) may be retained for product analytics — these contain no personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you.
- If you contacted our grievance officer, that email correspondence may be retained for up to 90 days as required by Indian IT Rules 2021 for compliance audit, then permanently deleted.
Retention period
In-app deletion is instant. Email-based requests are honoured within 7 business days. Backups containing your data are purged within 30 days of deletion.
